Author : Dean Fisher, Josephine Robinson
Description:I loved every page of illustration. The authors made a huge effort to include renderings from a variety of artists, which means that you get a whole range of styles of drawing. They have also done a great job of breaking down the drawing process into logical parts, and each chapter is devoted to a different aspect of drawing. This book could be used as a text book for many levels, but it also works well by itself so you can teach yourself. The authors provide structured tasks that you can complete before going on, and I found I could read it straight through just for pleasure! With so many drawing examples, and it is a treat to turn the page. One other nice thing--their tips are completely spot on. For example, they tell you to stand back from your work--something both beginners and experienced artists don't do often enough! Thorough, cleanly presented, thoughtful--perfect!
